Una proposta di sillabo delle collocazioni italiane basato su corpora di apprendenti e di nativi
Abstract
The acquisition of a collocational competence is central to language learning but often difficult for L2 learners. Furthermore, since collocations are usually not highlighted in language courses, students do not notice and assimilate them as complex lexemes.
As a matter of fact, in Italian L2 syllabuses, vocabulary is often presented as a list of single words and the phraseological dimension is absent. To fill this gap, we designed a corpus-based syllabus of Italian collocations. The collocations were extracted from the CELI learner corpus which collects 3041 written texts produced by learners of Italian L2 who passed the CELI exams (levels B1, B2, C1, C2). The collocations were then assigned to a given proficiency level using different criteria: frequency in a native corpus, number of occurrences in the four CELI subcorpora, presence of the collocates in the lexical lists of the Italian Profile and topic. The result is a syllabus in which Italian collocations are organized according to proficiency level and topic.
