L’interprete di guerra, un attore invisibile fra mediazione linguistico-culturale e gestione dei conflitti

This paper is going to describe war interpreters, their profession, and the risks they face in this working environment. The purpose is to illustrate the work of interpreters from a technical point of view and highlight why they so important in this working environment. Finally, I will discuss their legal status: are war interpreters sufficiently protected? What are the organizations that are in charge of providing them with protection? Moreover, in the final part of the article, it is proposed a potential training model for war interpreter so that they can be prepared to face all the conflict zone’s issues and challenges.
