In accordance with Legislative Decree 196/03 (hereinafter “Legislative Decree”), users of our website are informed about the processing of personal data. The information below does not apply to other websites that may be accessed through links on our site.
The Data Controller
The Data Controller of personal data relating to identified or identifiable persons processed following consultation of our website is Pacini Editore SpA., with registered office at Via Gherardesca 1, 56121 Pisa.
Place and purposes of data processing
The processing operations connected to the web services of this site take place mainly at the aforementioned company headquarters and are carried out only by employees and collaborators of Pacini Editore SpA appointed as persons in charge of processing, in order to perform the requested services (supply of volumes, journals, subscriptions, ebooks, etc.).
The personal data provided by users who submit requests for services are used solely for the purpose of carrying out the requested service or performance.
The inclusion of users’ personal data in any mailing lists, for the purpose of sending occasional or periodic promotional messages, takes place only upon the explicit acceptance and authorization of the user.
Data disclosure
The data provided by users will not be disclosed to third parties unless such disclosure is required by law or is strictly necessary for the fulfillment of requests and any contractual obligations.
The persons in charge of processing who handle the management of requests may become aware of the users’ personal data solely for the purposes mentioned above.
No data collected on the site is subject to dissemination.
Types of data processed
Data voluntarily provided by users
The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of emails to the addresses indicated on this site entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, necessary in order to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data included in the message.

No user data is acquired by the site in this regard.

a) the updating, rectification or, where interested therein, the integration of the data;
b) the deletion, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data processed in violation of the law, including those for which retention is not necessary in relation to the purposes for which the data were collected or subsequently processed;
c) certification that the operations referred to in letters a) and b) have been brought to the attention, including as regards their content, of those to whom the data were communicated or disclosed, except where this requirement proves impossible or involves a manifestly disproportionate effort with respect to the right being protected. -
The data subject has the right to object, in whole or in part:
a) for legitimate reasons to the processing of personal data concerning them, even if relevant to the purpose of the collection;
